Understand the Process…
Buying real estate is a complex matter and can be especially confusing for the first-time homebuyer. Do yourself a favor and learn as much about the process as you can before you begin your search. There are plenty of resources on the Internet, in libraries, and pamphlets available from lenders, closing companies, and real estate offices. However, with the constantly changing regulations, short sales, foreclosures and lending/appraisal issues that prevail in this market, your best way to learn is to work closely with your REALTOR, hopefully US, and ask questions. There is no such thing as a silly question, so please call us at 941-628-8816 or 941-628-6477.
For the buyer looking for a second home or retirement spot, you will want to consider a number of things before you begin your search. Do you want to be in a golf community or a waterfront community? Are you a boater? Sailboat or power? Do you need access to the Gulf or Harbor? Do you want a pool? Do you like to fish? Are deed restrictions important to you in considering a neighborhood? How far is it to the nearest stores? Do you like to walk or bike? Do you want to be close to downtown or beaches?
It can all seem so overwhelming! Below are some resources for you that should help and, of course, we are just a quick call or email away if you have any questions!
